The Awards Dinner

adnitor held the first annual platform awards at London’s prestigious Café Royal on 28th February 2007. adnitor have committed to host the annual event celebrating the initiatives undertaken in the market and the evolving business models and in recognition that platforms will increasingly form a core part of the UK financial services landscape. The Celebration dinner brought together over 300 people, with attendance from every Intermediary platform currently in the UK market and some of those intending to launch in the near future.

The Awards are not just about the Platform themselves; change is required across our industry and the Award also recognise and accredit the companies that are addressing the aspect of our business models that are broken, and adapting to change and those who have put consumers needs at the forefront of our business plans with this in mind we added key categories surrounding platform development to the Awards. Asset managers have faced tough criticism but deserved recognition for the innovation that some have shown. The technology and administration services that are key enablers in achieving cost effectiveness, efficiency and market results will receive acclaim for their contributions. Future channels and the critical role that Worksite pensions will play in our market moving forwards also is core Award without. The adviser firms, some of whom are taking enormous steps to improve the quality of the services and advice that reach our consumers.

Judging for the Awards itself was critical in terms of credibility. 9 of the Awards were based on an entirely independent panel and process. The platform usability design and experience award was voted for by the advisers themselves through whichplatform.com. As well as the winners a number of commendations were made for significant contributions.
